The third annual Knox Rox benefit concert held April 29 was the biggest Knox Rox event to date!
All proceeds from this year’s event were split between two non-profit organizations: Hillcrest Healthcare Foundation and Hope Springs Adult Day Care Center. On May 26, a check for $5,524.51 was presented by Hillcrest Healthcare to Hope Springs at the Beverly Park Place community.
The Knox Rox event featuring Lavonda & the 865 Bandits – a band made up of healthcare professionals – just keeps getting bigger and better and moved to a spring date this year from the fall, which helped bump attendance.
The event, held at 865 Axe Throwing, included axe throwing, beer and food for purchase, live music and family entertainment. “It was great to see so many friends ranging from children to the young at heart all gathered to have fun and support such great community organizations,” said Lavonda Cantrell, Hillcrest Healthcare’s director of marketing and vice president of Hillcrest Healthcare Foundation. “It was even better to present the check to Hope Springs Adult Day Care Center, which is an important community asset and partner to Hillcrest Healthcare.”
Each year, the Knox Rox benefit concert supports both the Hillcrest Healthcare Foundation and another deserving local organization. Plans already are underway for the next Knox Rox, so save the date for Saturday, April 27, 2024, at 5 p.m. at 865 Axe Throwing!
Hope Springs Adult Day Care Center is a nonprofit dedicated to providing day services for adults with disabilities. The organization helps families manage the challenges and responsibilities of caring for a disabled or elderly loved one while enhancing the quality of life of each participant.
Hillcrest Healthcare Foundation promotes healthcare delivery in the Knoxville community by funding indigent care, advanced pharmaceuticals, new technology and equipment, educational programs and more to patients and residents of Hillcrest Healthcare. Its philanthropic support allows Hillcrest Healthcare to offer and broaden a comprehensive array of health-related services to elders and disabled individuals.
