This year’s Hillcrest Healthcare Foundation Golf Tournament will be a great way for golfers to enjoy a morning of fun while supporting a great cause.
The tournament, now in its fifth year, will be held Monday, Oct. 14, at 8:30 a.m. at Avalon Golf and Country Club in Lenoir City. The event will offer food, including breakfast, gift bags and special prizes. Tickets are $100 for individual players and $400 for a foursome; sponsorships are available starting at $125. Additionally, mulligan cards or shotgun balls may be purchased for $20, or a combined package of shotgun ball and mulligan card will be available at registration for $30.

This year proceeds from the golf tournament will help purchase a wheelchair-adaptable golf cart for patients and residents at our Beverly Park Place community. The cart will allow residents to access and use the Intergenerational Playspace for therapy and recreation.
The first of its kind in Knoxville, the Intergenerational Playspace at Beverly Park, according to an article by Legacy Parks,“ creates a place for generations to intentionally interact through activity, to stimulate the brain, body and the senses with a variety of physical, visual, audible and cognitive experiences for all generations, and to take full advantage of all the benefits of being outdoors.”
Purchase of the cart also supports the mission of the Hillcrest Healthcare Foundation to promote healthcare delivery in our community through various funding, including for new technology and equipment – like an adaptable golf cart! – for patients and residents of Hillcrest Healthcare.
