Hillcrest at Home is proud to welcome a new director, Karin Ringley. She is a familiar face to many, having joined Hillcrest Healthcare in 2017, and with this promotion, she is leading an important division of our organization.
Karin is responsible for daily operations and oversight of Hillcrest at Home, which provides non-medical, personal care services for seniors in Knox and surrounding counties including Union, Loudon, Jefferson, Blount, Sevier, Anderson, Grainger and Roane.
Hillcrest at Home caregivers provide services to help seniors maintain independence in their homes or in assisted living communities, such as companionship, meal preparation, light housekeeping and more. An extended list of services can be found here.
She shares about her belief that working with seniors is a calling, “I am passionate about helping others – especially seniors and veterans – and my hope is that seniors in our community feel loved and supported and know that the entire Hillcrest team including Hillcrest Healthcare, all of our communities and Hillcrest at Home will do everything we can to get them the resources they need and deserve.”
Karin studied music and vocal performance at University of New Mexico before transferring to Nazarene Indian Bible College, graduating with a degree in pastoral studies. Since 2017, she has served as a hospital liaison for Hillcrest Healthcare and previously served in social worker and healthcare admissions director roles.
“Hillcrest at Home is so fortunate to have a capable and caring professional such as Karin to lead the organization,” said Barry Davis, president and CEO of Hillcrest Healthcare. “She’ll be instrumental in helping the team fulfill important goals to provide seniors a better quality of life, give families peace of mind and help supplement family caregivers. We are happy to have her at the helm of this division.”
Karin and her husband, Steve, have three sons, Gabe, Nate and Xavier, and a dog, Chloe. Outside of work, Karin leads the worship team at her church and enjoys music, singing in a band and supporting her sons’ interests, including baseball. You may also find her tending to her farm, which includes goats, rabbits, chickens, ducks and, hopefully someday, a cow.
Her personal perseverance aligns with one of her favorite bible verses in Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
